Joining our waitlist is free and does not reserve a puppy or require a purchase.
How reservations work
1 • Free Waitlist
Receive litter and nursery updates. No deposit is required.
2 • $600 General Hold
Once puppies are over 3 weeks old and available for consideration, a $600 non-refundable hold may secure your place for the requested sex, if available. It may remain on file for a future litter.
3 • Specific Puppy
After a $600 general hold, an additional $900 non-refundable selection deposit secures a specific puppy. If you skip the $600 stage and choose a specific available puppy directly, the required reservation deposit is $1,500.
Once a specific puppy is confirmed as reserved, that puppy is no longer available to another buyer and the selection cannot be changed simply because the buyer changes preference.
Payment timeline
Puppies are planned to go home at approximately 9 weeks of age. The puppy's purchase balance must be paid in full before the puppy reaches 7 weeks of age, unless a different written financing agreement approved by Smart Yorkies LLC applies.
Why Our Puppies Are Priced the Way They Are
A Smart Yorkies puppy is not priced simply by how tiny or adorable they are. Our pricing reflects the Yorkshire Terrier breed, the individual puppy’s characteristics, and the extraordinary amount of hands-on care that goes into raising each little gem.
🐾 The Yorkshire Terrier Breed
Thoughtful breeding includes planning, responsible care of our parent dogs, quality nutrition, appropriate veterinary care, and careful attention throughout pregnancy, birth, and early puppy development.
💎 Every Gem Is Different
Individual pricing may reflect sex, coat color and pattern, markings, eye characteristics, individual size and development characteristics, and placement terms. Coat, eyes, and estimated adult size can change as a puppy matures, and adult size is never guaranteed.
💕 A Labor of Love
Our puppies are raised in our home. That means around-the-clock monitoring when needed, feedings, weighing puppies, washing bedding, cleaning and sanitizing the nursery, socialization, cuddles, and plenty of what we lovingly call “poop patrol.”
Responsible breeding also means being prepared for veterinary care, health-related needs, quality food, nursery equipment, registration, supplies, and unexpected expenses. Pregnancy, delivery, and newborn care carry real responsibilities and risks, and the welfare of our moms and puppies comes first.
Raised as family: Our dogs live in our home as family. Our puppies begin life surrounded by everyday household sounds, handling, affection, and routines. We invest time, resources, and a great deal of love into every puppy long before that puppy meets their forever family.
Smart Yorkies LLC establishes each puppy’s price individually, and published puppy prices are non-negotiable. The listed puppy price does not include applicable Texas sales and use tax unless expressly stated otherwise.
Texas Sales Tax
Sales tax is not included in an advertised puppy price unless Smart Yorkies LLC expressly states otherwise. The applicable rate is determined for the individual transaction under Texas sales-tax sourcing requirements and will be shown separately on the buyer’s invoice or purchase documentation.
Registration
Smart Yorkies LLC puppies will be registered with APRI (America's Pet Registry, Inc.), subject to the individual puppy's paperwork and purchase agreement.
Payments & identification
Smart Yorkies LLC does not accept checks of any kind or Visa/Mastercard gift cards. Available electronic, card or approved financing methods will be communicated directly to the buyer. Smart Yorkies LLC may require valid identification matching the buyer and payment/financing records.
Go-home veterinary commitment
At go-home, buyers must either provide confirmation that the puppy's first wellness visit with a veterinarian of their choice is scheduled or sign a Veterinary Wellness Visit Acknowledgment confirming their responsibility to arrange the visit within the timeframe stated in the puppy agreement.
Airport / flight pickup
When airport or flight arrangements are requested or required, additional airline, carrier, health-certificate, travel or handling costs may apply. These costs are the buyer's responsibility and will be disclosed before travel is arranged.
